Who and What are OAFs

OAFs is an informal group of amateur astronomers, active in the west side of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. We like to do public outreach, among other things.
We have no official membership list or leaders. Everyone is welcome to join. Most OAFs are also members of other astronomy clubs.
OAFs communicate primarily with a Yahoo mailing list.
The OAFs mailing list, and these web pages, are not affiliated with any club. But all astronomy clubs, and individuals, are encouraged to post and add their public observing events to our events calendar. Anyone is welcome to join the Yahoo list, but newcomers may be moderated until they are known to not be spammers.
If you're subscribed to the mailing list, you're an OAF.
